6 Moves for the Ultimate Core Workout
Workouts focused on our abdominal muscles aren’t just good for future wear of our newest crop top. Strengthening our core assists in stability and balance, supporting our back muscles, pelvis and more. Most of our body’s movements require use of the core, so a regular core workout is absolutely essential.
Every day movements and positions such as sitting in your chair at work, lifting items over your head, bending down to tie your shoe or lifting your fur baby up after a long day away from home, all require use of your abs.
Strengthening your core doesn’t require fancy machines, equipment or heavy weights. In this core workout, I’m going to show you 6 ab moves you can do right in your living room. You even have the option to use a piece of equipment that hasn’t quite been trademarked as a core builder.
A water bottle.
Filled with…. you guessed it! Good ol’ agua.
Let’s get into it!
Alternating High Plank Side Open
V Sit Up Row
Water Bottle Pull Through
In’s & Out’s w/ extended arms
How about that! Your recycling has just become your new ab workout buddy!
A note from Chara
Do your best to keep your abs engaged throughout the entire core workout.
What does that feel like?
If you were to cough, that contraction is how your abs should feel when preforming each exercise. Practice getting used to this feeling while walking, sitting at your desk, and preforming your everyday tasks. Not only will it help strengthen your core and make your abs become more dominate, it helps with your posture and all you boss babes know how important posture is!
